how to prevent my homepage being continuely changed to multiple tabs
After deleting multiple tabs on homepage and setting it to google.com something causes firefox homepage setting to change my homepage to multiple tabs. Is there a setting I need to change or do I have a virus or something?

Does Google show up? What is on those other tabs/windows? Ads?

You can check for problems with preferences.
Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.
