Firefox won't start from windows 10 startup folder
I tried adding a FF shortcut to the Windows 10 startup folder but, although it starts, nothing works; the task bar items are all unresponsive. Thunderbird, added at the same time, is OK and works fine. Any ideas why this is? Can it be fixed?

You can use Task Scheduler in Win10 to execute your 'apps' on logon with a delay. What is probably happening is Firefox's graphics renderer is getting loaded before some needed system libraries are loaded and available to it in windows. I would play around with the delay to see if that will fix it.
Sorry, I've tried your suggestion, but FF is still unresponsive even when delayed 30 seconds, by which time I can start it manually and it runs OK.
