How can I synchronize thunderbird so it deletes an email from all computers/phones that have that email address on it?

I would like to know if I can set it up so that when I delete an email on one device it deletes on all. Currently have to computers and a phone that use same email, could be nice not to delete each email 3 times!

This is what IMAP is designed for. You need to set up each client to connect to the account using the IMAP protocol.

When starting from scratch, Thunderbird will select IMAP automatically if it's available, and I'd be rather surprised to find a phone choosing to use the alternative, POP.

You do of course need an email provider who offers IMAP. Most do nowadays, but there are a few that seem to want to remain in the Dark Ages and support only POP.
