When I open a site with video and I scroll down to read the article a small screen opens to the right with the same video Im trying to avoid. Can I turn off this option/setting, so that once I scroll down no more popup screens appear with what Im trying to avoid?

Start by adding these excellent extentions

Disconnect https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/user/disconnect/?src=api

uBlock Origin https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/user/gorhill/?src=api

Restart Firefox and this should prevent most of all the annoying stuff, if something gets by you can manually add it to the block listby clicking on the uBlock icon, pick the eye dropper, select what you want to block, then a window will appear at the bottom right, click Create and now that wont come back anymore
