unable to download firefox 57.x
No matter what version I try to download what shows up is Firefox Setup 52.5.3esr.exe (which is what I am currently running) I attempted to attach a photo showing my current system, current Firefox information and what I get when I try to download any more recent version but it did not upload.
I am running an Acer Aspire 3810TZ Intel CPU u2700 @ 1.30 GHz RAM 4.00 BG 64-bit Operating System
Vista Home Premium copyright 2007 Service Pack 2
Current Firefox is 52.5.3 (32-bit) on the esr channel
When I try to download I get: Opening
Firefox Setup 52.5.3esr.exe
which is : Binary File (43.4MB) from https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net
In attempting to download 57.x I have gone directly to the Mozilla site.
This issue came up when I attempted to download OneTab for Firefox and was told I needed to upgrade to at least version 57.0

Hi rokadade, Windows Vista cannot run versions of Firefox newer than Firefox 52 Extended Support Release, but you can run Firefox 57 on your next computer.

download OneTab for Firefox what is that ? Your question is totally unclear.
Current Release Firefox 57.0.4 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Regarding the OneTab extension, the add-on's page has this note:

If you are using an older version of Firefox, please ensure you are using OneTab version 1.17. Install it at this page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/onetab/versions/
Yep people who go to www.mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ with a useragent showing NT 5.1 (WinXP) or NT 6.0 (Vista) are served the 32-bit Firefox 52 ESR version. I say 32-bit because the 64-bit (Win64) builds require 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 10.

The OP was pretty clear.
rokadade was trying to download Firefox 57.0.4 from *.mozilla.org but was being served 52.5.3esr due to using Windows Vista. The OneTab is a Extension and needed to install the older 1.17 for Fx 52 ESR as jscher2000 mentioned.
