If you mean Extensions specifically in being hosted at addons.mozilla.org then you do not get paid by Mozilla. There might be the rare extension that you pay to use at present or in past. It would have to be one that people would have a really good reason to pay for it especially if there were other extensions that covered the same features and for free.
Some extension authors do ask for donations to help support them but it is not required. https://addons.mozilla.org/faq
