We have a problem with printing through the firefox of the latest version of 62.0. But there is also a problem with printing in the previous version of 61.02. Print starts only in the old version of the browser, with each print necessary to do Firefox cleaning. Maybe some problem with cache or something like this, but how can i solve it?

or try refreshing firefox,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Are you running Java and Flash Player ?

if yes try to disable them OR check if all updated.

and if you have silverlight installed disable it or remove it.

The Temp folder within AppData for the user you log in as, had permissions changed by some other app or update!!??

The fix: Right click on this Temp folder, select Properties, then Security Tab. Make sure the users that are present are: Administrators, System, and the user you log in as. For each, edit and give Full Control, then save. Under the Advanced button, select the Owner tab. Even if the current owner is you, click the Edit button, select you again from the list and hit Apply. If you get an error message about certain files that did not get ownership change, click the take ownership button for each one as needed.

Reboot, and now you should be able to print

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

You will need to restart Firefox for this to take effect so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.,) and then perform these steps:

In Firefox 54 and below:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux).
  2. Select the Advanced panel and the General tab.
  3. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists.

In Firefox 55 and above:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac, Linux).
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. Under Performance, uncheck Use recommended performance settings. Additional settings will be displayed.
    Fx55Performance-disableHWA
  4. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
  5. Close Firefox completely and then restart Firefox to see if the problem persists.

No, still the same error

Hi, if things work then they do not it is usually something with Extensions or your system.

Please try : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

I am also facing printing problems on Firefox version 62.0

The specific issue faced is that when printing with browser version 62, the printed content gets displaced to the right by around 5px. See attached images.

This Test is on an Epson TM220 POS printer. The Test prints a PDF with a rectangle sized to the page printable borders.

Image "firefox62-pos-print.jpg" which is printed pdf on V62 shows right border getting cut off. Image "firefox61-pos-print.jpg" which is printed pdf on earlier browser V61 with all other settings constants, show printing fine.

Note to FFus3r, I have already tried the debug steps you have suggested.

Thanks

Kasha23's issue seems to be a blocker. Hope Mozilla Community will help get this fixed.

FYI, the work around for us was to download v61.02 from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox and setting upgrade option to "Never check for Firefox Updates". Note: My resultant environment is in a dangerous cannot update situation, which I hope will be set right with the fix for this issue.

Kasha23's situation is even more dire as v61.02 is also broken.
