Selected bookmark occasionally redirects to another URL Firefox 67.0 Win 7 SP1
Since updating to Firefox 67.0 on 5/21/19, selecting any bookmark will occasionally redirect to https://www.spectrum.net/. Upon reselecting the original bookmark, Firefox displays the correct site.
I do have a bookmark for https://www.spectrum.net/ but it is not configured as homepage.

Hi italiangm, is https://www.spectrum.net/ associated with your internet service? I wonder if they are doing some kind of filtering.
Unfortunately, there are sometimes problems with Firefox bookmarks becoming corrupted. Firefox has a little maintenance feature built-in that can verify and clean up bookmarks (and history). I have no idea if it will help with this issue, but it only takes a couple minutes:
Open Firefox's Troubleshooting Information page using any of these methods:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
Near the bottom, there is a section titled Places Database -- that's the file which stores history and bookmarks. Click the button labeled Verify Integrity. There may be a 10-15 second delay before results appear.
If all is well, the report that appears below the button should start with:
> Task: checkIntegrity + The places.sqlite database is sane + The favicons.sqlite database is sane
(etc. etc.)
Hi jscher2000.
Yes, Charter Spectrum is my ISP.
Thanks for providing a possible solution. Unfortunately, the Verify Integrity process did not fix the problem, but good to know the databases are squeaky clean now.
When redirect occurred again this morning, I opened browser history to look for clues. Apparently Charter Spectrum periodically injects a script which points users to their TOS at http://tandc-browsermessaging.charter.net. That page displays for barely a second then redirects to https://www.spectrum.net/.
I've had NoScript installed for years now, so I explicitly set http://tandc-browsermessaging.charter.net to 'untrusted' which blocks the page from displaying. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks again for your kind assistance.
