Before switching to Firefox, using Chrome I was able to use the four arrow keys on my keyboard to scroll. When I wanted to have continuous scrolling, i just held down the ^ or v key. But on Firefox, I cannot achieve continuous down-scrolling (up-scrolling works). The screen scrolls down a few lines, then stops. I then must press the key again to advance the scrolldown another few lines.

I can't seem to alter this behavior no matter what settings I change in General Settings (smooth, auto scrolling). Is it possible to get continuous smooth scrolling in Firefox? If so, please advise how!

Look in the configuration of Firefox:

There's NO "Navigation" on the Options/General page in my version of Firefox. Did you mean General/Browsing? There I have both Autoscrolling and Smooth Scrolling checked. Is there something else I need to check?

Anyway, I seem to have stumbled upon a work-around: if I simultaneously hold down the ^ and v arrows, my screen scrolls down! Go figure!
