Thank you for your question. We try to make Firefox for Android suitable for many Android devices, but please appreciate that with so many available we cannot test it on all of them.

Firefox for Android does have a built in scanner for QR codes that will help you to use Firefox for Android accept QR codes to access web content using the devices camera. I am not aware of any way to divert this to another hardware element such as a scanner.
