How can we block file:/// protocol to prevent any access to local disk drive from the firefox browser?

When type in address bar c:\ I can have access my local disk and I would like deny this type of access.

Maybe run Firefox in a restricted sandbox environment that doesn't allow access to local files. You would have to allow read access to font folders and some other important folders.

Unfortunately, there is not yet an Enterprise policy for this.

Or more specifically, the WebsiteFilter policy doesn't yet handle the file:// protocol. It's on the "to do" list.
