There's no "save link as" option when long pressing these file links. When the links are behind a private site like my health insurance website or my private tracker website opening the links in the appropriate app fails. I just need an option to download these files like Chrome has.

Thank you! I went to Android Settings > Apps > configure apps > app links and set my torrent app not to open supported links. Now they download!

Hi

If you long press on the link and select "Open in new tab", a new tab will open and the file will download (I just tried this myself with a torrent and it worked fine).

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the response! I accidentally pressed solution and don't know how to undo it. I tried the new tab and it launched my torrent client remote which said it was unable to read the file.
