print size problems, sometimes

more options

I often print from the web, usually it is fine, and it works fine using another browser. However in Firefox, when I go to print a crossword puzzle from the wall street journal it prints the puzzle in the upper left quadrant, about half size. Doing the same thing with another site, everything is fine, and if I use a different browser, it is fine. Also, depending upon the site, I get a different print set up page, and it appears that the problem lies only on one of these setup pages. I have tried changing just about every setting to no avail. .1. Is there a way to change which print set up page appears for different sites? 2. Is there a fix somewhere which will correct this problem?

Hi wclaiborn, Firefox's print preview screen should be the same for all printers. One difference would be whether you have the "Simplify page" checkbox, since that only works on pages where the Reader view works.

Is the printable puzzle served as a PDF or as a regular web page?

It's hard to explain the inconsistency in paper size behavior. Does the puzzle default to a different printer??
