I did all this, and my messages are still bolded.

I turned Thunderbird off and then turned on, but messages still bolded.

Interestingly, the only message that it unbolded was your message

I am using Windows 10 - only using for one month since I had to get new computer - was using Windows 7.

Thunderbird 68.5.0 (64-bit)
