I am using a Samsung Galaxy S8. When I tap the widget to search, all it does is open the app and does not bring up the keyboard and go to the search screen. So I can't quickly search like with the Google search widget for example. Also, when tapping the microphone icon, it brings up the Google microphone input for a split second before closing it immediately. This widget basically is only good for opening Firefox, which I can do by tapping on the application icon. Need a fix so the widget is not useless.

Hi

The widget funcationality has not changed in some time, but with the work that is being done on our new Android browser, Firefox Preview, I understand that work may be done and released in future updates to improve the functionality and user experiance.
