When I click on an email address within Firefox to send an email, it defaults to sending (in Thunderbird) from an old email address, which is not the email address linked to my Firefox Account. How do I change this? People on the Firefox forum think the setting is somewhere in Thunderbird.

Thunderbird will use your default email address.... This is set in account settings > outgoing server (SMTP). It is the last entry in the account settings list. Click on the set Default button after selecting the correct new default account from the list.

Matt, Thanks for that. That does appear to have fixed the issue.

Doesn't fix it for me, I still get the old email adress (worse: in older Thunderbirds pre 78 there was a setting for the default identity for new mail, but it seems to be gone and the old setting ignored)
