Dear All,

since yesterday Thunderbird is showing authentication failure for gmail account. I have tried all the solution previous proposed. For e.g. deleted gmail passwords, restart Thunderbird, and complete OAuth2. After completing the process, the authentication failure appears again and I have to pass through OAuth2 again...and again. Cookies are on. The 'general.useragent.compatMode.firefox' is set to True.

I'm not sure what else I should do.

Thank you for your help.

Okay, it seems there is one more option for those who struggle with this issue. I did go to the google account settings -> security, and removed Thunderbird from trusted apps follow by OAuth2 authentication in Thunderbird.

It works for now.
