As you may know, many extensions released before Firefox 57 (November 2017) used features (legacy APIs) that are no longer available to extensions in Firefox 57 and later (WebExtensions APIs).

I don't know whether there are any new extensions to decode .mht / MHTML files. Have you searched on the Add-ons site?
