78.5.1 The "tasks and events" menu item has vanished. The add-on that launches the calendar will launch a calendar, but not a populated one. There is no calendar data in it. It says calendars are disabled. And when i try to add it back in, as the message says, it won't let me. It's all just gone. Thunderbird simply has no calendar function. See images.

This has only happened with the 78.5.1 update. It appears to have broken the calendar functionality. How do I get my life back?

It's more a workaround than a solution. I reinstalled the previous version of TB. Then I reinstalled the Provider for Exchange Active Sync and created a new account in TB sync with (temporarily) only the calendar active. The previous account in TBsync, which no longer had a calendar entry was left to handle synching emails, until the calendar was working, in the new one. Then I enabled the rest of the new one and deleted the old one. It's not a full solution, because it doesn't restore the original calendar sync set-up or explain why it had gone missing in the first place. I'm not even sure I can remember in which order things came back. Did the events and tasks menu come back before I reinstalled Providor, or as soon as I brought back the older TB?
