A few days ago the appearance of web pages on firefox on my macbook changed. All the unvisited links are now blue instead of black, and there are frames around a lot of the page elements. I'm guessing I accidentally hit a key (or combo of keys) that changed the appearance, but I don't see anything anywhere in the documentation that looks like this problem, or how to fix it. Can anyone help? I'll attach some screen shots - another thing that is different is that in YouTube, the video controls are all outlined in

This could be a problem with High Contrast Mode on Mac.

See "New" in the release notes.

Firefox now automatically enables High Contrast Mode when "Increase Contrast" is checked on MacOS in the Accessibility settings.

Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Settings -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.
