Hi,

This has been an ongoing issue for a few months now. Sometimes I can't sign into the Tesco UK website with an error like 'not allowed to access from that server' or something like that. Then after a few tries I can log in, buy a load of things then when it comes to verifying the payment with my bank, it just sits there with the little circle going round and round and it never completes the payment.

I have to open Chrome browser, log into the Tesco website to complete the payment there. I've phoned Tesco before and the guy on the phone said they recommend Chrome browser but I've never heard of a company doing that before. Surely all browsers should work.

It's just a bog standard Visa card I'm using so what could be causing this?

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connection certificates and send their own.

Hi Fred. I'll go through these and see if it solves it but if it were the case Bitdefender (my antivirus) was intercepting secure connection certificates and sending it's own, that would also be true when I was using Chrome or any other browser and Tesco or my bank would respond in the same way.

It'l be a week before I do another shop at Tesco so I'll hopefully find out then.
