When I open the Security page, it shows 'about:preferences#security' in the address bar, but when I paste the same string 'about:preferences#security' into the address bar, it does not open Security, but instead a Google Search Result page. Is there a text string that will open Security ?

I assume that you do not paste the quotes you used to mark the about: URL.

Are you sure you paste in the Firefox location/address bar and not in the search bar and that you do not have included spaces?

I'm not sure about anything. I just now went to the security page and copied its 'url', and pasted it into the address bar, and presto ! Security opened ! So I do not know why it did not before I made my post. Thank you.
