Unable to find proxy server
I just downloaded FireFox because it's the browser that's recommended by the IT administrator for using the company proxy. I've set up the proxy settings but with the proxy set I cannot connect to any site.
I get this message in the browser window Unable to find the proxy server
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that can’t be found.
Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct. Check to make sure your computer has a working network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.
I've double checked the proxy settings and they are correct. I can connect to sites with other browsers to I have a network connection. My computer does not have a firewall set.
Also FireFox connects to websites when I disable the proxy. I've also confirmed with other colleagues that they are using the proxy so the problem is not that the proxy server is not correctly set up.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Hi Dropa, Thanks for the reply. The reason I mention that I can connect without the proxy is to confirm that fresh install actually works. Worth confirming because there are some questions on this site troubleshooting just that. I don't want to contact the company IT yet because 1) colleagues are using the proxy server with no issues 2) I'm not even able to connect to google, so evidence seems to point to the problem being on my end. I've updated my question to include that colleagues are using the server with no issues.
I've double checked my proxy settings and confirmed with my colleagues that they are the same as they are using.
I ended up solving the problem by speaking with my company's admin. The solution uses Chrome with a browser extension. So I didn't solve it using FireFox though there's probably an equivelant FireFox extension. But since I normally use Chrome I'm fine with that solution. TY for the feedback.
