I confirmed the (Automatically install updates) is checked with (When Firefox is not running) option as well. I also have the (Mozilla Maintenance Service) installed on the computer. The only way the browser updates is, if when I go to the about settings and then it checks for the updates and it does update eventually. But I do not want to be doing that all of that time. I would like it to update automatically when closed, how is suppose to occur. Any thoughts or workaround on how to make this work automatically?

On Windows, in the Task Scheduler utility, there should be a task called 'Firefox Background Update' (under the Mozilla folder within the Task Scheduler Library). It should be set-up to run every seven hours. I would take a look at it on your machine to make sure it hasn't been disabled or anything like that. Again, it only runs every seven hours by default, so don't expect Firefox to update itself automatically the second a new update is released.

This support article also lists certain settings and conditions for the feature to work properly, so make sure you take a look at those as well.
