I have been using Sky for my ISP for years and using Thunderbird for my Yahoo Mail. I am now finding that I cannot create a new email account in Thunderbird after removing the old account to try and ressolve my problem ( not receiving my mail) I am getting the above message and on contacting Sky to try and resolve the issue. Sky have now informed me that I can no longer use Thunderbird for my default emails. I have therefore lost all my sub folders,Contacts and Calendar. Any help please, desperate can I recover the lost information.

There seems to be two ways to set up Sky accounts: with the sky.com servers, or the yahoo.com servers. I would first try the latter, as those settings work with the OAuth2 authentication.

incoming IMAP server: imap.mail.yahoo.com on 993, SSL/TLS, OAuth2 authentication, User Name = email address.

outgoing SMTP server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com on 465, SSL/TLS, OAuth2 authentication, User Name = email address.

When you see the OAuth2 window to allow TB access, enter the account (not app) password.

You should be able to add your calendar as a CalDAV calendar (File/New...) with this location URL:

https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com

To add the contacts, click New Address Book in Address Book, Add New CardDAV Address Book, and try this for the CardDAV URL:

https://carddav.address.yahoo.com/dav/

If the DAV method doesn't work, I suggest using the TbSync/Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV add-ons.
