After update this week, my bookmarks are gone. Seems like firefox itself made an "old firefox data" binder on my desktop. It has a file called "old bookmarks". But i cant import it. Its not an HTML file. How do i import it?

And why should it be so troublesome after an update i didnt ask for?

For bookmarks you need the old files places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite and the folder bookmarkbackups.

You can recover data from the folder named Old Firefox Data on your computer desktop with Firefox closed.

There's a file named "old bookmarks"? I don't think that's a standard Firefox file. Are you sure that's the exact name?
