Firefox - latest version, in Win 11 updated version, on my home server, will not load google.com pages, but intermittently works OK - frustratng. Other browsers, eg. Edge and Chrome access sites as normal on my laptop on my home network. My laptop using Firefox will load google.com pages when on another network. Is it my server, or Google, or Firefox doing this ?? Please provide any advice on solving this problem.

Can you resolve google.com via the about:networking DNS Lookup tool ?

You can check the connection settings and check for possible issues with a Proxy or VPN service.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a Proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

Thank you cor-el, I used the about:networking page, DNS tab to clear DNS cache - that solved the problem, although I don't know how or why but it was the solution to my issue. Thank you so much. DougH

Hi cor-el, Solution worked ONCE - the next time I tried to access google calendar - problem returned. I cleared the DNS cache again and the calendar loaded ?? More advise needed please. I am not using any proxy or VPN that I know about, I use AVAST Premium protection, and run Ghostery as a Firefox extension - turning Ghostery on and off has no effect. I have tried the usual tricks - clear History Everything, uninstall and reinstall Firefox, etc.. Thanks, DougH
