Hi,

I've recently switched from K9 to Thunderbird. Never had any issues with K9, just liked that Thunderbird was basically the same but without the dated look.

Thunderbird however does not send any push notifications.

What I've done this far: -Re-install Thunderbird -Check if Thunderbird has notification permissions (it does) -Exclude Thunderbird from any and all power management

However, I still have not received a single push notification this far.

Does anyone know a workaround for this? Or is this maybe some kind of bug?

I'm using a Nokia G42 5G with stock Android 14.

Ensure Thunderbird is set to sync at startup and every few minutes (Settings > Account Settings > Synchronization & Storage).

Verify Thunderbird has notification permissions and background data is allowed (Settings > Apps > Thunderbird).

Disable battery optimization for Thunderbird (Settings > Apps > Thunderbird > Battery).

Make sure notifications are enabled in Android (Settings > Apps > Thunderbird > Notifications). Ensure both Thunderbird and Android are up to date.

Thanks for the reply.

Weirdly, Thunderbird doesn't create any entries in the Account settings section. I tried reinstalling the app again and adding all email accounts manually, but nothing shows up.

All the other settings are set accordingly.

Any more ideas on how to fix this?

Same issue. Notifications are on in app and in settings but never get any push notifications at all.
