I download books on i-net and they are in the download folder, but are not on my connected Nook where I want them to go. I do not see how to "move" or "copy" files to the connected device.

Go to Tools > Downloads, right-click on the item you downloaded and select Open Containing Folder. That should open your downloads folder in Windows Explorer, where you can copy/paste the files to wherever you want.

"open containing folder" is not highlighted and therefore cannot select it. I checked a number of the downloads in the download list and some have this highlighted and some do not.

If you can't select "Open Containing Folder" then that means that the file is no longer in the original download location. Make sure that anti-virus or cleanup software isn't removing those missing files.
