I assume that Firefox will use the system settings:

Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Regional Options : Customize > Time Date

Thanks for the references to control the date within Windows. These are currently set to yyyy/mm/dd format. Dates work fine on internal applications.

Fair assumption, but I believe Firefox overrides this setting and works with its' own language setting as dates show up as mm/dd/yy (which is what the setting for English/Canada requests).

Thus, back to my problem. I wish to work in English but do not know how to set the date to ISO 8601 standard format of yyyy/mm/dd.

perhaps I am asking the question incorrectly. I would be OK with Firefox using the windows default date format - can this be set?
