I would like to keep certain cookies from being deleted when I close Firefox. I have them listed under Privacy/Exceptions/Marked allow. However when I clear recent history the cookies are deleted. I have cookies marked for deletion, but I would llke 2 to remain. Is there anyway to do this?

That setting does not prevent cookies from being deleted. You can use the CookieCuller extension to specify what cookies to keep, it will then automatically delete the others on exit.

Make sure that you do not set Firefox to delete cookies when you close Firefox, let the extension delete the cookies. If you set Firefox to delete cookies it will delete all of the cookies.

You can let cookies expire if you close Firefox. You wil keep the ones with an allow eception and the ones protected in the CookieCuller extension. You only can not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear all cookies. Be aware that using Clear Recent History to clear the Site Preferences will remove the cookie exceptions as well.
