The mobile site does not allow me to install XPI files, it downloads them, but I cannot for the life of me get the XPI to open. Also, I cannot search for addons in the preferences, all searches return no results.

There seems to be a problem with our add-on site right now. I'll check with the people responsible and hopefully this will be fixed soon.

If you used an add-on or a hidden preference to change the "User-agent" header in Firefox, please try setting it back to the default. This can also cause the add-on site to download add-ons instead of installing them. (If you don't know what this means, you can just ignore it.)

If you have the .xpi file in your phone memory, you can just type in Firefox address bar "file://" to browse to the file location, tap on it and wait to be installed.
