I've removed the star from my location bar, but I've still got the little drop down arrow - is there a way to remove that, too? When I click on it, it just highlights blue, nothing actually happens. Maybe I have some settings wrong - and things should be happening when I click it?

Customize the toolbar, it's removable.

I tried customizing it - when I try to drag the star or that drop down off the toolbar, it takes the whole toolbar. Had to edit userchrome to get rid of the star - can I do the same for the arrow?

I'm sorry, I can't simulate the behaviour you describe. Did you try "add a new bar"?
