Go to Program Files - Windows Searchqu Toolbar. Then click on uninstall app. It must be good. This s--- doesn't appear in the ADD/REMOVE PROG.

if you can't escape from him, go in partition C and search "Searchqu" and delete everything that shows you the "searchqu".

I find a easy way to solve this problem. 1.Starts 2.search 3.tape"searchqu"&Enter 4.delete "hosts"

I did the seach for Searchpq and deleed the MXL or HXL file that said "default" at the end, but it still brought up that damn page yet again. (wil retry your next suggestion about the hosts though)

I did the about:config / keyword.URL change several times too - I also loaded the Mozilla Browser blocker but everytime I open my home page of Google.com.au thru Mozilla it asks me about blocking this Searchqu page so it gets a bit tedious - I JUST WANT This GONE :)

Each time I restarting my computer to confirm these changes but that bugger is imbedded in there. I got this problem when I accepted a upgrade change from Mozilla.

I am also getting some TopTip.ca drop down box which is driving me nuts too and can't find where that came from either.

I removed that annoying stuff of searchqu doing this:

1. Go to C:\Program Files\Windows iLivid Toolbar

2. Run "uninstall.exe"

3. Go to "Tools" and then to "Add-ons" to verify if You don't have any of the searchqu plugins, if You found it, click on "Disable"

4. Change your home page in Firefox "Tools" and then "Options"

Good luck!!!

Hi, My name is John, and I'm a member of the Searchqu Support Team. I'm here to help :) When iLivid installs onto your pc it offered two basic installs, typical installation, which lists the add-on features such as searchqu homepage, and custom installation, which allows you to select the add-ons that you wish to install. There's no need to worry if you did the typical install - this isn't a virus, nor malware, and there's no need to Perform a virus scan against it. Since Searchqu is an addon feature of iLivid, there's no need to uninstall iLivid http://www.iLivid.com, the iLivid Download Manager will work just fine without it :-) In order to change the searchqu homepage please check: http://www.ilivid.com/faq.htm look for the paragraph:"I would like to keep iLivid, but change my browser’s homepage"

please let us know of any further question :) The Searchqu support team
