My Vista system motherboard died, so bought new Windows 7 system, and have old Vista drive working as second data drive. When setting up Win 7, installed Firefox 4.0 (had 3.xx on Vista). I would like to copy my bookmarks over to new system. How can I do this? Thank you for your time and assistance.

You need to copy a file called places.sqlite from your old profile folder to your current profile folder. (Firefox stores user data in the profile folder)

For details of how to find the profile folder see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox and https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

If you want you can copy more than just the bookmarks, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile
