Since Firefox 5 updated the Norton Toolbar Extension yesterday the Symantec IPS 2.0 Extension has vanished for some reason. The toolbar works ok and the Norton intrusion prevention is working ok.The same update was also done on my note book but the Symantec IPS is still in the list of extension it has only vanished on my desktop.

This just happened to me. I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton, because supposedly that was what was supposed to make my Norton toolbar work with Firefox 5.0.

Not only does the Norton toolbar still not work, but now it's saying my Norton IPS is incompatible with Firefox 5.0.

Does this mean I'm not protected now?

This is so frustrating. If I'd known there'd be all of these problems, I never would have upgraded. So shoddy.

I unintalled and reinstalled Norton and it is all ok . I made sure all the old settings were removed when the uninstall option came up.
