Is there a way to open multiple windows in firefox 5.0? I can't do it from windows quicklaunch and the right click"open in new window" does nothing.
Yeah, not much more to say. Since I upgraded to firefox 5.0, I can no longer open multiple windows. Multiple tabs work, but I don't like tabs. Please help.

See if they work in Safe Mode, which is very easy to test from Firefox 5.
Safe Mode: bring up in safe mode one time, when you do so do not check-mark any of the items (they are certainly not safe). Help ("Alt+H") > "Restart with Add-ons disabled". If there is not problem then it is almost certainly an extension.
If that works try to find the addon(s) that causes the problem.
- Disable half of extensions and restart Firefox. At this point you are no longer in Safe Mode and are testing extensions.
- If problem still occurs disable half of remaining extensions
otherwise if works enable half of those last disabled Then restart. and recheck at step 2.
If that fails to isolate the problem reply back and if solved mark thread as solved.

Opening additional Windows one at time is easy
- Open in New Window (bookmark & link context menu does work for me)
- Shift+click on bookmark or link
- Ctrl+N (is what I normally use, even counting accidents from next item)
- Dragging a tab off of the tabs bar (usually accidentally opens a new window)
If you want to open multiple additional Windows at the same time, you might be able to use a bookmarklet, mine that say new window are forced into tabs.
I can't imagine using a browser without tabs, but then I was using spreadsheets before browsers had tabs. There are a lot of good extensions to make tabs work even better (Multiple Tab Handler, Add bookmark here2, Tab Counter, Fox Splitter, plus styling changes).
Thanks, but none of those work. I'm not sure what to do here. Maybe an uninstall / reinstall will help. (I don't really feel like doing it, but oh well)
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thanks, guys! It was one of my extensions called Moon Control.
