I am having thesam issue. I am not running any of the specified appkications. I do runn XAMPP (Apache, MySQL). The problem occured after I upgraded. I wan't able to close tabs so I rebooted the system and couldn't get FF to start.

OK, I went into task manager and found firefox.exe *86 running. I killed it and I was able to get Firefox to run.
