After updating to Firefox 7.0.1, I am not able to open Firefox. It crashes immediately upon starting, bringing up the Crash Reporter. Clicking restart Firefox just brings up another Crash Report window. I've tried disabling all add-ons, extensions, etc. but this does not solve the issue either. When I downgrade to 6.0.2 Firefox works again.

The likely problem is use of certain Oracle etc software, the developer Oracle being aware of the problem and working on a fix. Meanwhile there is a registry hack as a potential workaround, or the simpler workaround of downgrading temporarily to firefox 3.6.23.
