Although I gave up on it for now, if you don't have a lot of extension, you can run it in Version 8, in fact if you were running it in 7, you probably don't have to do anything but enable it. Since their site does not tell you a version number suggest you reinstall it, and restart Firefox twice, See

I reactivated it as I had it disabled and it is working, guess I'll try it for a few days now that I'm on 8.0. So only difference between what I ran on 7.0.1 is that I just now reactivated "McAfee Site Advisor" but then the main reason I don't have problems is that I avoid bad extensions.

I see that it is not marked compatible with 8.0 but many of my extensions are not anyway. I do have

extensions.checkCompatibility.8.0 set to false

and my McAfee Site Advisor is 3.4.0

The extensions I am using are listed here, and I actually have links to Compatibility Reports there for each extension, but haven't been checking things there for several months.

I got it this way. Tools - Add-ons and then clicked "extensions" on the left side. This showed Siteadvisor as disabled.

Before doing this I had gone to [ http://www.siteadvisor.com/download/windows.html] and downloaded SiteAdvisor from the link at the bottom. Maybe this wasn't needed
