Yaron mentioned on Mozilla-IL that you have some problem accessing the Private Browsing mode. This might be also relevant to this issue as well.

This is a weird edge case on Windows XP systems with a certain runtime library. Developers are working on a fix for 10. In the meantime, I think a Windows update for .NET (something along those lines) will have the updated libraries and fix this problem (you may need to reinstall Firefox after updating windows).
