Bookmarks Toolbar has been duplicated somehow in the HTML; can I delete this second duplicate? 9.10 Ubunto
The Bookmarks Toolbar section has been duplicated. (I personally don't load programmes or systems ). Am being upgraded from my present Ubuntu 9.10 and will need to transfer my bookmarks over as HTML; I don't wish to copy the duplicated section and am asking if I can delete the second superfluous Bookmarks Toolbar and its contents before exporting the remaining Bookmarks sections as HTML??

You can only delete the copy if there is a real copy it is not caused by a problem with the places.sqlite database file. You can't remove the original Bookmarks Toolbar Folder. You can check that via the right-click context menu. If Delete is grayed then you can't remove that folder and you can check the other copy.

thankyou-- the first Bookmarks Toolbar master folder does have the Delete function greyed out, but the second Bookmarks Toolbar folder shows the Delete function OK. Therefore I'll try deleting this second duplicate. I think I'll also save an HTML Backup somewhere before trying to Delete anything in case I lose wanted folders.----thks
You're welcome
