XMarks mess up certain programs. Downloaded an old version of FF and the X Marks are still there and pages keep locking up. What now?

Downloaded the 9 version and X Marks appeared - don't know what they are, but with that version some of my programs don't work. Downloaded 3.6 and the X Marks came with that too and locked up pages.

Hi meowmama-

Xmarks are installed as a Firefox Add-on, see the information here:

If this is something you want removed, you'll need to take it out from your Add-ons manager:

  • Firefox > Tools > Add-ons> Look in extensions or plugins and remove Xmarks

Hope that helps.
