Why Firefox sometimes gives me a error and say it is running when it is not

more options

Sometimes when I close Firefox and then want to re-open it a few minutes later I get a error message said a Firefox is running. So it will not open. I either have to restart my computer or go to IE or Google Chrome to browse the internet. Then after I use the other browsers it will then open. This drives me nuts and I'm about to give up on Firefox. This is the only browser that this happens on. It seems to be happening more often than in the past.

When that happens press: ALT-CTRL-DEL, now you have task-manager open; go to processes and find firefox.exe, right-click on it and select "stop/end process". Now you can fire up the fox again ;-)

just go to task manager and end the process FIREFOX.EXE and check if the problem occurs again

Thanks I will try this the next time it happens. But my other question is why is this happening on Firefox. It doesn't seem right that I would need to do this with FF. As I stated in my prior question this is the only browser that this happens on. Why can't FF fix this issue. This drives me nuts. Thanks again.
