The reason it works fine in IE8 is because it uses a different security checking method than FF. Which site are you talking about?

Try to remove the currently stored AddTrust AB -> COMODO SSL CA intermediate certificate in thee Certificate Manager.

Mine looks just like the image you posted. I ran validation on it before I posted here. I've also deleted and reinstalled the security certificate. While writing this post, I realized that I haven't tried it with all my add-ons disabled. I'll do that and post the results.
