I have set Firefox (browser) to "Ask me where to save my files" (this is with sidebar enabled). I have also checked the sidebar settings, and everything seems ok. But its still SAVING to desktop automatically and I have already started my PC (reboot) many times AFTER I changed to this setting (in fact more than 3 mths ago)

Previously I selected desktop and it downloaded directly to desktop. That was ok, until recently. It downloaded whatever I wanted to desktop, but it also creates a BLANK folder name "desktop". I just dont understand why it does that. Previously when I set to download to desktop, it just simply downloads whatever I had chosen to download, but it DOES NOT create an empty folder. So I now had to KEEP deleting the Blank folder.

It created an empty folder and named it "Desktop" by ITSELF. I selected desktop prior to changing it to "Ask me". Previously it was working well.

After which I changed to "ask me where to save" but its still CREATING AN EMPTY FOLDER name "Desktop" and I had to KEEP DELETING THAT EMPTY FOLDER
