I frequently copy and paste URLs out of Firefox and into various Microsoft Office documents (Word, Powerpoint or Excel).

I do this entirely using the keyboard: Alt+Tab to Firefox, Alt+D to get the cursor into the URL bar, and then Ctrl+C to copy, Alt+Tab to switch to the other application, and Ctrl+V to paste.

Usually this works fine.

But recently, every now and then as soon as I get to Ctrl+C, Firefox crashes silently taking with it ALL the open tabs (sometimes a dozen or so!) There are no warnings, no crash reports, and when restarting firefox, no indication whatsoever that there has been a crash.

Anyone know what's going on?

Thanks, AKE

hi there are copy and paste issues in firefox 22, can you reproduce this in firefox 23 beta?

If so report the crash reports here.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the address bar (that's where you enter your website URL) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent crash ID's that you see in the crash report window and paste them into your response here.

Thank you for your help!
