How can I set all my add-ons to be always on without being forced to update them?

I don't currently wish to update my addons every 3 days when a new version comes up. Is there a setting for me to accept the risks of out of date addons and get on with my day without having to enable flash for every single web page I go to?

There's an AddOn Update Checker that may be helpful in your case.

Let us know, if it helps.

I want FF to stop trying to tell me what to do.... My issue is I understand the risks of both sides of the spectrum. Every new version is not better than the last. My issue is the idea that "I MUST HAVE THE NEWEST ADDON" is my decision to make. I'm hoping there is a means simply set FF so I manage my own addons, and it doesn't turn them off every 4 days as a new version comes out.

go to about:config to search, type: app.update.enabled to choose false, type: browser.search.update to false and then extensions.update.enabled false also.

Which category of add-ons is causing the problem? I think the above steps address extensions. If you are concerned about plugins, you might have something really old, because I can't recall ever being reminded to update them. You should, barring an excellent reason that you need 11.6, update Flash.

Just going to have to live with the fact the FF is superior to me and has the right to tell me what to do. I appreciate all the input, and time. Many thanks!
