My wife uses her laptop for business. Her battery died and she is needing to access her email from my machine until her new battery arrives. I've seen the threads about separate profiles but don't like that option. We want two completely separate instances, separate profiles, separate everything. She needs to be able to get to any emails from her machine (once it's back up and running) that were received and sent from her instance of Thunderbird my machine.
