This article explains the settings available in the Account Settings window. These are settings that are specific to each account. To access the Accounts Settings window, go to {menu {for win,mac}Tools{/for}{for linux}Edit{/for} > Account Settings}. __TOC__ = Account Actions = {button Account Actions} at the bottom left of Account Settings offers: * Add Mail Account * Add Chat Account * Add Feed Account * Add Newsgroup Account * Set as Default, changes the currently selected mail account to be the default account, and adds a star next to the account name * Remove Account = Account Settings panel = {for win}[[Image:tb52-accountsettings-win10]]{/for} {for mac}[[Image:tb52-accountsettings-mac]]{/for} * '''Account name''': Here, you can name the account. The name will appear in the folder pane as well as other areas in Thunderbird where you need to navigate accounts. * '''Your Name''': This is the name that will appear in messages you send in the ''From'' field. * '''Email Address''': When sending a message, this is the email address that will appear in the ''From'' field. * '''Reply-to Address''': If you want replies to your messages to be sent to an address different from that in the ''From'' field, enter that address here. * '''Organization''': If you'd like to state the organization your address belongs to, enter it in this field, and it will be attached to messages you send from the above address. * '''Signature text''': If you'd like to append a signature to your message, enter it here or attach a signature file by check marking '''Attach the signature from a file instead'''. This is accomplished by using a digital certificate to sign your messages.
